We bought this very special car from Gitta who received it from her parents on her 16th birthday. They had bought the car new in Germany and brought it to California after a few months of touring Europe with it. It was very hard day for her to let go of her companion for the last 30+ years but knew the car would need some mechanical work and probably would not be used like it once was. There is a photo book documenting the life of the car from its tour of Europe when new, being loaded on the boat to come to California, picture of the original California pink slip issued for the car, its many trips around the western states that this SL has taken over the years, the birthday that Gitta received her present from her father, sitting next to the other SL in the family ( a white with blue interior 300sl the family also owned), and photos of how it looks today.

Since purchasing the car we sent it over for a professional valve job to fix a burnt valve. Now the car runs very smooth. The cosmetics are showing there age but are very presentable, it still has its original numbered hood, partial tool roll, very solid floors, and untouched trunk. The body tag shows the car as a European delivery two top car. This is one of the nicer untouched 190sl's you will run across.
