1965 Corvette 396/425 Convertible

First year for the big block option with only 2,157 ever produced only in the last few months of the 1965 model year. The 396 solid lifter motor runs excellent with unbelievable torque, the clutch is smooth, transmission shifts very smooth, brakes are firm and the steering is tight. This car has the proper numbers matching engine stamped on the pad in front of the cylinder head, correct block and date code casting numbers along with dated expansion tank. Engine compartment as you can see in the photos is highly detailed down to the correct split ring battery cables and 396 only black air cleaner lid. The car substantiates the rumors that the 65 big blocks are some of the fastest corvettes produced.
