1968 Mustang Convertible
1968 Mustang convertible V-8, 289, automatic with center console, power steering, power top and
turn signals in the hood. The door tag picture shows the vehicle identification number with the C in it signifying
an original 289 car. Below are some other codes in the picture 76A representing a convertible, next is an A decoded
as Raven black body color then 2F being bucket seats and a saddle interior. A few other codes are there if you wish
to see the date built and more information on the car. The owners said it was a one family owned car and well loved.
A nice restoration was under way when circumstances forced the sale and created the opportunity for some one to take
over the project. The body is solid with good floors, rockers, and trunk panels, No signs of any major collisions,
straight
quarter panels, radiator core support, shock towers, fenders and frame horns. A quality car for either returning it
to stock or making the authentic looking Shelby GT 500 King of the Road recreation either way black is a great color
to start with. Mostly complete the only thing we didn’t get looks like the block. Air cleaner, carburetor, heads, valve covers are all there if you want to put it back stock or retain some of the original parts while putting an alternative motor in the car. They don’t come any less expensive for a solid builder.
