1966 Mercedes Benz 230sl

This is a two owner car from Southern California. The first owner was an American Scientist that lived in Germany for four months in the summer of 1966. He bought this car from new in the Southern Germany. He drove this car for the four months and then had it shipped to San Diego California. He owned this car for the first seventeen years of its life. Afterwards, the car was sold to the present owner who also resides in Southern California. The car remains in such incredible, original condition. Most of the interior is still original from 1966 and remains in good condition as well. It still has its original radio that works with the power antenna...it works like it was 1966 all over again! The paint and the chrome on this car is in good condition too. The car is fitted with the hard and soft top. Please note, the hard top in the photos, it show very rare chrome pieces to fit any ski racks. The underside, the floors have never been welded and are in extremely good condition. The trunk floor is in original factory condition, just dry with no welding. Mechanically, this could be one of the better Mercedes Benz that we have had in years. We have good service records and history with the car. The car really drives tight and responds quickly in the way the gearbox shifts. Even the kick down on the gearbox works perfectly. All the turn signals, lights work correctly/operational. For any overseas interested customer, this car does have the European headlights and the instruments are European dials. This is not a perfect show car. However, it would be very hard to find one that shows more honestly than this one does. This car is such a pleasure to drive.
