1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 409

Thousands of dollars spent on this straight rust free car with no signs of accidents or replaced panels. The car currently runs and drives now with the small block pictured. The 409 has had a restoration started by its long time elderly owner begun a few years ago. Having such a nice 409 impala that had survived in original condition with the matching numbers on the block ( see pictures) he wanted to freshen it up. When the restoration was started they pulled the original motor and put in the small block to be able to move the car around. Then it was off to paint and that part didn’t go as well. The front of the car consisting of the hood and front fenders had a bad reaction and needs to be stripped down and redone. From the doors back it has held up ok and only has a spot that has come off. Either the front can be redone and the spot fixed or you can repaint the entire car depending on your desired finished quality of the restoration. The motor was done at a local shop that coincidently I had used many times over the last 20 years including a previous rebuild of Bo Jackson’s 409 in his custom pick up built here in Costa Mesa so it is ready. The motor parts are the ones belonging to the car and a new hardware set is included to reassemble the part to the motor. The interior is all nice and usable as well as all the glass. He was almost done but the paint started to go before the engine got back in and the whole thing just made him sick at his age with the money spent. So here is a great opportunity to own an unmolested matching number car at a fraction of the big ticket price 409 auction cars bring.

Very nice solid frame and floor on this car.
